Ever since Trump walked down that golden escalator in 2016 and was welcomed by the Republican Party as a messiah rather than the bigoted, racist, morally bankrupt criminal asshole he is we should have known just how racist the average Republican is. They do everything they can to perpetuate and enshrine white supremacy everywhere they can and then pretend they are grievously offended when we notice just how racist and bigoted they are. We need to simply and forcefully say as much as possible: “There is no such thing as a non-racist Republican today.”
It’s a party controlled by racists voted into power by racists specifically because of the racism and bigotry. It is undeniable at this point.
